The Graduation Car Show

Saturday June 10,1999 The Mad-City Ramblers Chapter of AMCRC and The S.E. WI Chapter of AMO, and The Jefferson Collectibles Car Clubs held their first annual "Graduation Car Show". The show was held to honor the Graduation of Jennifer Samuel, who had been co-editor of "52nd Street News" the newsletter of the S.E. WI AMO and she also was co-editor of "The Spokesman" newsletter of the Jefferson Collectibles.
The show was held at Mike Spangler's 8 acre location on the Rock River on the North City limits of Jefferson, Just north of the Jefferson Co. Fair Park. The show featured 6 peoples choice award classes. The weather was threatening, but the rain held off until after midnight. Refreshments were served by the Jefferson High School AFS Club as a fundraiser.
The show was the first public showing of the "just restored" 1971 AMX Prototype once owned by Richard a Teague AMC VP/Styling
Also after the show the graduation party started which all show participants were invited to attend. The party featured a pig roast and live music by "Heartbreaker" Below is a shot of the pig.

In the summer of 2000 the 2nd annual Graduation Car Show will be held Sunday June 11. The Graduation show will be held in honor of Mike Spangler & Cheryl Samuel's foreign exchange student Sergio Gaite Paz who will graduate from Jefferson Sr. High.
